Angelica Cortez is the Senior Vice President of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion at Pacific Clinics and is responsible for advancing the agency's racial equity and justice agenda. Prior, she was vice president of racial justice and equity at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and led investor relations and strategic initiatives. Cortez is the founder of LEAD Filipino, a Filipino American civic participation and leadership development nonprofit. She has received various awards, including the 2021 Woman of Influence, Silicon Valley Business Journal's 40 under 40, 2018 Outreach Champion Award from the Santa Clara County Commission on the Status of Women and Asian American Recovery Services' Sister-to-Sister Legacy Award. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California in Organizational Change and Leadership.

Eufrosina Aisha Gates is a Clinician and Founder of Thug Therapy, a nonprofit organization aimed at increasing mental health awareness, supporting BIPOC therapist training, and advancing the use of puppy therapy in communities of color and places of work. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area with over a decade spent working in community and clinical spaces in Los Angeles and San Diego, Eufrosina's background combines business and innovation with public and community health, racial equity, and higher education. Most recently, she provided mental health therapy to adult populations in Santa Clara County's Custody System. Eufrosina is a true visionary, infused by a tapestry of disciplines. She holds her BS in Business, Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Southern California. Eufrosina believes that no matter how many degrees she earns, nothing taught in a classroom or textbook is stronger than the lived experience she navigates as a Black and Filipina woman raised in the structural racist patriarchy of the United States. Eufrosina is currently applying to Doctoral programs at Columbia, Harvard, and Emory focusing on socio-medicine. By studying society’s structural systems impacts on health, Eufrosina will continue advocating, healing, and evolving herself first as a show of strength and the myriad of communities she proudly represents.

Ivette Mayo is an awarding winning entrepreneur, international author and motivational business speaker. Ivette’s POWER is that she gets what is important, the bottom line – people, profits, and productivity. As the CEO of Yo Soy I AM, LLC, a professional development and consulting firm. She is known as a POWER ADVOCATE by her clients for creating POWERFUL and IMPACTFUL results. Her 27 year global career was spent working in business development, sales, marketing and training. Her focus is to incorporate cultural awareness and competencies into all her training programs to assist participants in stimulating performance and to gain more insight into themselves and others. This dynamic facilitator has worked with several Fortune 100 & 500 companies such as Shell, Direct Energy, Comcast, Nationwide, Comerica Bank, H&R Block, Nielsen, and State Farm. Her high energy style, direct approach and humor make Ivette a powerful motivational business speaker. Her message is always centered on these five key areas, leadership, confidence, change, courage and culture. These keys are certain to empower and unlock potential to lead with confidence in today’s marketplace. Most importantly, she dares her audiences to challenge limited thinking, to take bold action, to push past excuses, and move beyond complacency to be POWERFUL. From 2012 to 2016, Ivette served as a Public Diplomate for the U.S. State Department’s Office of Global Women’s Issues. In 2017, became an award winning international author by pinning her book “A 30 Day Guide to Your POWER - Powerful Outcomes through POWERFUL Words”. In June 2018, she establish POWER On Heels Fund, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on the advancement of Latinas in the workplace and marketplace and minimize the impact of pay-gap inequities faced by providing unique programs, mentorship, and scholarships to accelerate their professional growth and cultivate future leaders. Most recently, Ivette was recognized by TalentLMS and made their list of "Top Female Career Coaches to Follow in 2020", and “2019 Woman Worth Watching” by the Diversity Journal, a national publication.

Kimel Hodges is the Program Director, Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Before joining Memorial Hermann, most recently she worked with Videojet Technologies and Dow/DuPont-Corteva Agriscience, Kimel previously served as Assistant Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion and Equal Opportunity for six years at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, overseeing several divisions including Diversity & Inclusion, Equal Opportunity, and Supplier Diversity/HUB as well as implementing other internal processes for promoting and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, organizational policies and contracts investigations of discrimination, harassment or retaliation. Kimel also provides strategic direction in the development of initiatives for the Supplier Diversity/Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) program, and enterprise-wide Minority, Women, Service Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (MWSDVBE). Kimel previously served as Director of Diversity & Inclusion at CHRISTUS Health. Prior to that, she had over 11 years with the Kellogg Company in various leadership positions including Diversity Business Partner, EEO/AA Manager, and Human Resources Manager in both the corporate and manufacturing. Kimel has been an active member of several executive committees, and represented the Institution at various community events. Kimel is involved with the Youth Motivational Task Force (YMTF) at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, where she serves on the planning committee. She also is a past member of the American Heart Association’s Compensation, Benefits and Human Resources Advisory Committee and a past Board member of the Alfred William (A.W.) Harris Faculty-Alumni Center Corporation. Kimel earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, and master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Central Michigan University. Kimel also holds Certified Diversity Executive (CDE) credentials from the Society for Diversity and a Senior Certified Affirmative Action Professional (Sr.CAAP) from the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (AAAED).

Miracle Johnson is a Sr. Resource Manager at Microsoft. She is responsible to lead key projects and initiatives targeted towards evolving Resource strategy, planning, governance for Modern Work (MW) and Modern Life Gaming and Customer Service (MLGCS) SBUs. Miracle is an innovative professional with 9 years of experience with a strong background in consulting, managing strategic projects and initiatives. While in her Consulting role, she designed, developed and delivered custom workshops for people managers and C-suite level executives. She has numerous certifications, and licenses including Pearson Personality Integrator, Crucial Conversations, Series 6 Securities and Lean Six Sigma. A passionate professional, she has focused her career on leadership roles, building mutually beneficial business relationships with clients and the development of different models and planning processes. Miracle is a graduate of Louisiana State University. She holds a Bachelor of arts degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations; a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration with a concentration in Sport Commerce as well as minors in Psychology and Business Administration. She is also a graduate of the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business Flores MBA Program with a Master of Business Administration.

As the Assistant Vice President for the Norman campus, Teara Flagg Lander engages with faculty, staff and students to create a more inclusive environment for all members of the OU community. She received a bachelor of arts with a major in political science from the University of Central Oklahoma and a master of education with a focus on higher education administration from the University of Oklahoma. She earned a doctoral degree in educational leadership with an emphasis in higher education from Kansas State University. Additionally, she holds two graduate certificates in qualitative research methods and social justice education also from Kansas State University. She is passionate about increasing cultural awareness and providing educational access to people who want to continue their education. In her leisure time, she enjoys being with her family, traveling, and reading.
